Why Europe Put ChatGPT in the Search Engine Category
The European Commission has designated ChatGPT a Very Large Online Search Engine under the Digital Services Act. The classification is clear. How those rules will apply across a product that searches the web, generates answers and performs an expanding range of other tasks is less settled.
